Executive Summary

Michigan State University (MSU) seeks a dynamic, collaborative, and forward-looking leader to serve as the next dean of its internationally renowned Broad College of Business (Broad). The dean will join at an opportune time to partner with new university leadership and engage students, faculty, staff, alums, and other key constituents in helping the college reach new heights by further enhancing our brand, the reputation of our people, and the rankings of our programs. The Broad College of Business, named after alumnus and distinguished business leader Eli Broad, is one of the largest of seventeen degree-granting colleges at Michigan State with approximately 4,900 students across 6 academic units – Accounting and Information Systems, Finance, Management, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, and the School of Hospitality Business. Its world-class faculty delivers academic rigor in the classroom and its leading-edge scholarship brings fresh perspectives to business leadership and best practices. With the No.1 ranked Supply Chain Management program, the No.3 ranked Production/Operations Management program and most other programs in the top 25, the college is a hub for top-ranked undergraduate and graduate programs that educate and nourish the next generation of business leaders. The Broad College is home to the Minskoff Pavilion, a 100,000-square-foot facility that provides state-of-the-art instruction, learning, and career development spaces for business students.
