Department/Unit Fairness and Equity

Mean scores across the seven items measuring fairness and equity in departments/units increased between 2022 and 2024. The increases ranged from 0.03 to 0.13. The items with the largest increases were having a voice in decision-making in the department/unit, which saw a 0.13 increase; fair and equitable workload distribuon, with a 0.09 increase; and fair and equitable procedures for determining compensaon, also with a 0.09 increase. Only one mean score decreased between the two years. The item measuring fair and equitable expectaons regarding research expectaons decreased slightly by 0.04.
