Racial and Ethnic Composion of Community and Last School Aended

In 2024, students come from communies that are more diverse than those in 2022. However, there was lile to no change in the racial and ethnic composions of the schools that students aended between the two years. In 2022, 60.9% of students hailed from communies where most or all residents were of the same race and ethnicity. In contrast, this figure dropped to 52.1% in 2024.

Student Experiences with Bias/Discriminaon Events In 2022, when asked the general discriminaon queson, 7.8% answered in the affirmave compared to 5.3% in 2024. For each student who reported experiencing any of these events at least 1-2 mes, their responses were counted and categorized into a single variable. In 2022, 36.8% of students reported experiencing at least one form of discriminaon, compared to 29.4% in 2024 using this method of computaon. Among those who experienced at least one form of discriminaon, the mean number of different forms of discriminaon experienced in 2022 was 2.98, while in 2024 it increased to 3.10.
